The Hidden Valleys Community Project has provided details of some exciting events that are happening towards the end of Summer.
There is a Craft Open Day at Ryedale Folk Museum on Sunday 19th August. The museum is located at the centre of the picturesque village of Hutton-le-Hole, near Pickering and contains a variety of reconstructed period buildings which are all furnished in the style of their time. The Hidden Valleys Community Project has been allocated one of these buildings to present a display of historical and archaeological material. Members of the Hidden Valleys Community Project have been invited to assist with various activities on display to the public.
Kildale show is being held on Saturday 1st September and members of the Hidden Valleys Community Project and Teesside Archaeological Society have been allocated a location on the show field to pitch their voluminous tent and banner. Members are invited to assist in the tent and inform the public of the various activities of both groups, with the help of medieval pottery, photographs and plans. The open day starts at 10:30AM and finishes at 4:00PM. Entry is free and if you would like to help on the day, please contact Roger Inman on 01642 633402.
