Welcome to Teesside Archaeological Society’s website
Established in 1961, we are an enthusiastic, friendly, group who share a passion for the rich, distinctive, heritage of the Tees Valley and Cleveland, with more than 10,000 years of archaeology – evidence for past human activity – on our doorstep.
We welcome everybody who shares an interest, no matter what level of experience or expertise. We offer monthly lectures, the annual TAS Bulletin, field trips to archaeological sites – and the chance to find out more about the latest discoveries, fieldwork, volunteering opportunities, educational events and community activities across our broader region.
Join TAS and enjoy:
- MONTHLY LECTURES by national and regional archaeology experts, now back to live events.
- EMAIL ALERTS with the latest news, events and fieldwork opportunities.
- THE TAS BULLETIN is our annual journal, published since 1994 for members and now fully open access – free to read and download.
