Archaeology of the Eston Hills with Adam Mead
First recorded in the Domesday Book of 1086, the Eston Hills, Middlesbrough, is a site of historical importance with an abundance of heritage. This guided tour will look at some of the archaeology including Eston’s Iron Age Hillfort, Bronze Age decorated stone, and the low lying burial mounds.

24th August – Meet at Kirkleatham Museum: 18:30
Early History and Archaeology around Kirkleatham with Steve Sherlock
Kirkleatham, which now houses the Saxon Princess, is a treasure trove of historical artefacts. This guided tour will commence at Kirkleatham Museum and will tour the historical sites around Kirkleatham village.

Guided Heritage Walk of Middlesbrough Football Club with Rob Nicholls
From Ayresome Park the, ‘posh ground when it was built’ to the subtle sculptures and the Holgate End. This nostalgic tour will take you right down memory lane where some of the greats such as the prolific striker Brian Clough played their football.
